Abby Kusano is a former student of Texas A&M University where she graduated in 2023 with a degree in education. Abby was a proud member of multiple organizations throughout her four years including her position as president of MORPH which facilitated Aggie outreach in support of foster children in the Bryan-College Station area. Including personal involvement with the children and families at risk in the system she also dedicated her time and energy in MORPH to advocating, fundraising, and partnering with local nonprofits in support of their cause. In this work, she was able to hone her interpersonal skills and continue to nourish her love for the field.

Abby began her work with Camp Olympia in 2021 when she worked her first summer as a counselor. Falling in love with her time as a counselor and summer assistant director with Camp Olympia, she then made the transition to a full-time lead teacher with the Outdoor Education Center. Working with the OEC, Abby uses her love of the outdoors and joy for teaching to instill a lasting impact on each student that she comes into contact with.

When she’s not in the office, Abby loves spending her time outdoors with her dog Penny and her fiancé Jake. If you can’t find her, she’s probably traveling and going on new adventures!
